IMPOSSIBLE! NO, NOT WITH GOD

Impossible means incapable of being done, incapable of occurring or happening. Something that is beyond human ability to cope with or to proffer solutions to is regarded as being impossible. But nothing is beyond God to cope with or proffer solutions to. Nothing is impossible with Him. Luke1:37 says,“for with God nothing shall be impossible".

Luke18:27 says, ”the things which are impossible with men are possible with God”. Are there things that you think are impossible? When life seems impossible, relationship seems impossible, when forging ahead seems impossible, liberty, freedom, breakthrough, healing and fruitfulness seem impossible, remember the word of God, believe it, have faith and with persistent prayers all shall be possible. The bible says in Mark 11:23, “For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed and be thou cast unto the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things he saith shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he said ”.

There is no situation that is impossible to bear or cope with if you allow the power of God’s word and His Spirit to influence your life. With peace of God in your heart, you can face troubled times with assurance.Let us go through the scriptures and see situations that were termed impossible by man but God made possible.

FRUITFULNESS
Gen 18:12 ,Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying after I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?” This statement of Sarah confirmed that she knew that by human standard it was impossible to have a child at that old age. She had reached menopause. She was ninety years old and her husband was one hundred years old. But Gen 18:14 says, “Is anything too hard for the Lord?” No, indeed Sarah had a son. The Lord who did it for Sarah at post menopausal will do it for you. Have you being waiting on the Lord for the fruit of the womb? Is menopause threatening? Don’t worry. There is no impossibility with God.

HEALING
2 Kings 5:1 – 14. Naaman the leper thought his leprosy could only be cured by series of tests and rigorous exercises and by offering so much to Elisha. 2 Kings 5:10 says “Elisha sent a messenger unto Naaman saying ’Go and wash in Jordan seven times and thy flesh shall come again to thee and thou shall be clean. Naaman was disappointed and went away because he thought his healing could not come easily by just washing in River Jordan while there were better rivers in Israel. But God of possibility healed him when he obeyed and dipped himself seven times in River Jordan which he detested. 2 Kings 5:14 says “and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child and he was clean.” Do you know that it costs God nothing to heal you? He is God of all flesh and nothing is too hard for him to do.

DELIVERANCE FROM BONDAGE
Exo 12:1–51. The Israelites slavery of over four hundred years in Egypt was terminated after they had taken the Lord’s Passover as the Lord instructed their leaders Moses and Aaron to tell them. The lord also instructed them to mark their door frames with the blood of the lamb, in one night God moved in the land of Egypt, He spared the Israelites but struck down all the firstborn of the Egyptians in Egypt and the firstborn of all their livestock as well.
It was Pharaoh himself that summoned Moses and Aaron. In Exo 12: 31-32, “and he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, rise up and get you forth from among my people, both ye and the children of Israel, and go serve the Lord as ye have said. Also take your flocks and your herds, as ye have said, and be gone, and bless me also.” It sounds so strange that the hard hearted Pharaoh urged the people to hurry and leave the country and even requested that they bless him. The exodus of Israel from Egypt is an evidence of impossible task that God made so simple and possible.
HEALING AND RESTORATION
Mark 5:25–34. The instant healing of the woman with the issue of blood of twelve years by mere touching the hem of Jesus' cloak was beyond human comprehension. She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet, did not get better, but worse. Medically, her case was confirmed impossible because with treatment she did not get better. Verses28-29 say, “For she said if I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. And straight away the fountains of her blood was dried up and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plaque".

DISCOVERY
2 Kings 5:5–7. The axe head in the hand of the son of the prophet fell into the water. By law of gravity, it was to sink but Elisha, a man of God just cut a stick and cast it in thither and the axe head did swim and the son of the prophet took it. Verse 7 says, “therefore said he, take it up to thee, and he put out his hand and took it”. Who else could have made this possible for the axe-head to swim towards a stick? Only the God of possibility!

Therefore, brethren, if healing, deliverance, protection and fruitfulness could just come like that, what are your own challenges?  God of possibilities is there for you. Build up your faith, and exercise it; believe the word and pray for possibilities in all your life endeavours.

PRAYER
Father in heaven, with you there is no impossibility, whatever seems impossible because of my own limitations, make it possible for me and level all the mountains in my life. In Jesus name I pray (Amen)

WHO ARE THE WISE MEN AND WOMEN?

Characteristics of wise men and women who possess wisdom; they hear the word of God and practise it by properly applying these words to all situations. The wise fear the Lord and keep His commandments. Prov 3:13 says 'Happy is the man that findeth wisdom', and wisdom according to Prov 2:6 is given from the Lord. If you don't already possess wisdom, ask from the Lord and it shall be given to you.(James 1: 5-6)
Also, the wise are those who seek after Jesus like the Magi (Matt 2:2). The wise are prepared for the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ just like the five wise virgins (Matt 25:4-10).  Your level of preparation for the coming of our Saviour is directly proportional to your wisdom.

The wise believe that there is a home beyond and we are currently sojourners on the earth consequently, they build their treasures on things which are eternal (Matt 6:19). Jesus promised us that he has gone to prepare mansions (John 14:3) for us therefore there will be a day of reckoning when we are all called to account of our pilgrimage on earth. When the Lord sees you, would He say 'welcome home, my faithful servant?'

Be prepared by getting involved in kingdom assignment, giving sacrificially and living a holy life. Be prepared by putting God first in everything, seeking the kingdom first and allowing others to follow in line with the Lords' will (Matt 6:33). It is essential that you bear fruits by evangelising and winning souls (Prov 11:30) for the Kingdom and also ensuring that your fruits remain, that is, follow-up the converts.

You can increase in wisdom if you fellowship continually with the Lord, if you seek to learn at His feet. In Luke 10:39 - 42, Mary sat at Jesus' feet and heard His word but when Martha, Mary's sister complained to Jesus that Mary did not assist her in cooking and serving, our Lord Jesus Christ replied saying, 'But one thing is needful and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her'.

Some of the many advantages of having wisdom:
1. It brings happiness Prov 3:13
2. It helps you to fear and reverence God Prov 1:16
3. It preserves you Prov 4:6
4. It enables you build your home Prov 14:1
5. It makes you relevant amongst decision makers
6. It gives life Eccl 7:12
7. It makes you to become meek James 3:17
Prayer
I refuse to be a fool. Father, endow me with sufficient wisdom so that I can be among the wise in Jesus name. Amen.
